Information Technology Scholarship

• Awarding of payment of $1,000 will be submitted to the applicant’s college, trade, or technical school after proof of 1st semester/term completion and proof of 2nd semester/term enrollment. Applicant is eligible for internship opportunity with LightStream.
• Payment of second $1,000 will be submitted after proof of 2nd semester/term completion and proof of 3rd semester/term enrollment.
• Payment of third $1,000 will be submitted after proof of 3rd semester/term completion and proof of 4th semester/term enrollment.

• Winners will be selected by the Board of Directors
• Scholarship presentation may be at the applicant’s school awards program
• The LightStreamTM Board of Directors reserves the right to withhold any or all scholarships

• Complete the online scholarship application.
• Attach copies of high school transcripts or equivalent.
• Include a 1-page essay that describes your education goals, the importance of this scholarship, and what your next 10 years may look like.
• Attach a student picture. Scholarship winners will be published.
• Deadline to submit is March 31.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a state-accredited high school senior, home schooled graduating senior, or a college undergraduate
• Applicant’s parent(s) or legal guardian must be a customer as of the beginning of current school year and are a current customer of LightStreamTM
• Become a student attending an accredited college, trade, or technical school pursuing an associate’s and/or bachelor’s degree in the information technology field

Pulaski White Rural Telephone Cooperative (dba LightStreamTM) is a non-profit corporation that was established in 1954 to provide telephone service to portions of Pulaski and White Counties. LightStreamTM is now the premier broadband provider in the area with a fiber optic network that offers gigabit internet. An integral part of our staff is made up of talented field technicians who often attend a trade school for telecommunications.

LightStreamTM will award a scholarship of $3,000 to one student attending an accredited college, trade, or technical school pursuing an associates and/or bachelor’s degree in the information technology field within the following school districts:

• North White
• Pioneer
• Twin Lakes
• West Central
• Eastern Pulaski
