LightStream Agrees to Acquire Royal Center Internet Services from BerryComm

Cass County area being added to their fiber internet network

Royal Center water towerLightStream (Buffalo, IN) has agreed to purchase the telecommunications network in Royal Center from BerryComm (Kokomo, IN) that will add to their existing fiber network in White and Pulaski Counties.“We had our eyes on the Royal Center area several years back when we were planning a long-term strategy,” says Brent Gillum, LightStream CEO. “BerryComm had a similar target a couple years ago and started fiber internet services in 2020. This acquisition of Royal Center fits well within our service area that complements Winamac, Pulaski, Star City, Buffalo, and Monticello.”

LightStream has invested over $40 million in their fiber network and is excited to add 400 more homes and business in Royal Center. In addition to internet services, the Royal Center area will also be able to add phone service once the transition is complete to LightStream.

BerryComm owner James Berry says, “We are really happy for the residents of Royal Center to continue with a provider like LightStream. They know internet and customer service.”
